An afternoon with the boys

Dave, Barb and Tyler went out to cut and collect wood for their wood stove. Dave Sr. was helping a good friend put in garage doors. Ryan and DJ were taking a break from spearing so i snatched these pictures of the boys.

Then after DJ and Ryan left for round 2 of spearing and after many attempts to capture Sam walking I finally captured a few steps. But due to the heavy traffic it won't let me up load the video. I will keep trying

Here are some winter pictures I promised My dear friend Mary.

Merry Christmas Everyone

What more can you want than a white Christmas and good food. I didn't take as many pictures as I wanted but I still took some good ones of Sam who is growing so fast. He's walking around furniture and sometimes forgets to hang on and stands alone.

Kitty's dilema

This is Kitty. She's 10. This shed has been a place she goes to in the summer for a nap and in the winter to hunt for mice or to sleep in when she's stuck outside for the night. Three days ago this is where she was when the weather was a nice 25 degrees out. After calling and calling she stayed there for the night. Day 2 the weather was still a nice 20 degree's. After calling and coaxing Kitty still chose not to come down. That night the temps got down to the teens.

Day 2

Morning of day 3

Aparently Kitty was tired of the shed life and allowed Dave to rescue her.

Sunday

My apologies for getting lazy on blogging. I was so excited about being able to post a blog and pictures everyday and now that I can...well. I finally have something to post! Ryan speant most of his day off last Friday getting his spearhouse out on the lake. This is the first northern of the season. A 28" female with a belly full of Perch. How they don't gross you out too much. I bet you can guess what we are having for supper if Ryan doesn't decide to pickle it.

The weekend

Dave and I had a great time with Josh, Shyla, Raleigh and Josh's mom Deb this past weekend. Not only did we have the best turkey I've ever had but we also celebrated Raleighs 1st birthday! Pictures to follow. The weather tried to deter us but we prevailed. Josh and Dave spent a little bit of time shoveling off the deck but mainly using the snow blower. We had an interesting drive home but made it in time to see the vikings beat the Lions!! GO VIKINGS!!!!!

Here's a very clever way to use old fuel oil tanks.

Weekend in Fargo

What a nice little drive to Fargo we had. I got off work at noon and we were on the road by 1pm. There's a little store in a town in called Aekley that always has something funny displayed on their property. This year they had a blow-up doll on a floaty raft in the middle of the pond next to them. Here's a couple of pictures.
